GENDER EQUALITY OR EQUANIMITY OF GENDERS??

                             

                           

                      Do we need GENDER EQUALITY or EQUANIMITY of GENDERS? 

 There are two classes of people who have provoked my thoughts... one, a class of men who stand as if they are born to define and explain male chauvinism... and another class of women who spend half their life talking about equality, women empowerment etc.. Let me try and describe the two before I discuss what I really want to. Class 1: Male chauvinists: This is a breed of men whose attitude and behaviour towards women indicate a belief that they are innately inferior to men. They feel and propagate that women are meant to live in the shadow of men. They hardly acknowledge a woman's ability and most of the times can't stand their success. "women are accessories that god created to make a mans life easy" is an axiom they live and swear by. Class 2: Unreasonable feminists: They act as if they are born to defy the law of nature. They exhort that there is no essential difference between a man and a woman, and a woman can/has to do all that a man does. Let alone, they would not mind reversing the roles of men and women. From times immemorial the two genders have been crossing swords to understand and conclude "who is superior...? Man or Woman?" A foreground for the major clash of the TITANS. Are the two genders meant to collide? I don't think so... it is not the case in any other species... the birds and animals don't challenge their roles and responsibilities. They don't fight for a place of superiority. But in the Human race, the male chauvinists continue to put down the women and say that they are meant only to cook and take care of the household chores, while the unreasonable feminists take to jobs like bar tending, smoke & drink, wear revealing clothes only to prove that they are equal to their male counterparts. Are these people blind to the perfect balance god has created? He made man physically strong and complemented it with the mental strength of a woman, he gave men the natural instinct to acquire worldly knowledge but made women his counsel, he asked men to fend for their families and assigned women to constantly renew love and care. He asked women to bear children not because she was inferior but because she has the strength to endure, he asked men to toil and work not because women are less intelligent but because he wanted their families to grow under her care. A so called bold, open and modern woman, when in love even to this day expects the man to make the first move because it is her innate propensity to be subtle and demure. It is high time people understand that god created a man and woman with lot of distinction and he wanted them to bring different flavours to life. He did not want anyone to compare an orange and an apple. They are both his creations hanging on from the tree called life. They are meant to taste the way they are only then would you be able to enjoy the savors of life. "Woman! without her, man is nothing." is as true as "Woman without her man, is nothing!". They are a galaxy of contradictions but meant to co-exist as mutually as MARS and VENUS... after all we know Men are from MARS and women are from VENUS!
